Monday- Day 4 (My homeroom has Art)
Reading- Write a paragraph about Imagine that you met "Tall Paul." (A character like Paul Bunyan) Write about a day you spent with him. Please put the following vocabulary words into a paragraph: lassoed, prairie, riverbed, bargain, favor, offended, shrieked. A paper was handed out in class to write this paragraph on.
Spelling- The new list was handed out today. Test will be on Friday this week. The students also need to put words #1-20 into ABC order.
V.O. Due to the events tha took place last Friday, we did not take the V.O. Quiz on Suffixes. We will take that quiz tomorrow.
Tuesday- Day 5 (My homeroom has Library)
Reading- Please complete Author's purpose worksheet
Grammar- none, we are learning about Compound sentences this week
Spelling- Study, Test on Friday. ABC order homework due Friday
V.O.- Study for quiz on Friday~ Suffixes and prefixes that have been covered in class
Social Studies~ continue to work on PA project which is due on October 28
***My homeroom was able to shop at the bookfair today. However, any time the students bring money throughout the week, they will be able to shop the bookfair on that day.
Wednesday- Day 1 ( My homeroom has Gym)
Reading- Study pg. 75 vocabulary words for the Horned Toad Prince
Grammar- complete compound sentences worksheet
Spelling- Study, H.W. due on Fri, Test Fri.
Social Studies- work on PA project
V.O.- continue to review suffixes and prefixes, quiz on Friday
****EXTRA CREDIT***** Reading extra credit was offered to the students today. They must compare a horned toad to another reptile on a Venn Diagram. This is worth 10 points. Students must see me for a paper IF they are interested!
Thursday- Day 2 (My homeroom has Music)
