Update for Mrs. Fey's Classes April 20th ~24th, 2015

This week the students are taking the Math portion of the PSSA tests on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. In an effort to celebrate Earth Day which is today, Wednesday the 22, The students have been asked to bring in water bottles  to use in a project.   We are going to recycle the water bottles into a flower pot.  If any student does not have a water bottle I will provide them with one.

Also, the students have been given a paper with instructions for a Reading project that is a diorama. They will choose a story that they have read and decorate the inside shoe box or another type of box to look like something out of the story. The students were told to use paper scissors and glue or tape to do this. I would ask that you don't go out and buy anything for this project. If any student needs a box or construction paper I would ask that they see me to get the needed supplies. This project is for fun and something to encourage reading during the winding down of the school year! Maybe when the projects are displayed in the hall they will give some of the students ideas for good summer reading! I am asking that the projects be brought in on April 30 or May 1. Please don't bring them in until after the Science PSSA is over (April 29th)  as I am unable to display them until all testing is over.

I have to say that I am extremely proud of my students for the time and effort that they have been putting into the PSSA exams. The students are going to be treated on Monday with a Pizza party for not only their hard work the past few weeks but for their hard work all year!!!
