Monday- Day 4 (My homeroom has Art)
Reading- #4 Study Vocab on Family Times newsletter
Grammar-none, We are learning about Dependent and Independent Clauses this week. Quiz will be on Thursday
Social Studies- State project is due next week on Oct. 15. There was a packet given to each student expaining how to complete this project. It should be in your child's Green Social Studies folder. We are also starting a unit on PA state symbols.
Spelling- Write list 5 words 3X each. The students were shown last week that if they ever forget their Spelling words in school they can be found on a website called Waltke's Web. Click on the grade level and then look for "Overview" at the top of the screen. All of the Spelling words and Reading vocab for our reading series can be found on this site. There is also a ton of information and activities that go with our Reading Series on this site.
***Also, Students are encouraged to clean out their folders and discard old worksheets, etc. The only papers they need to keep are the ones for the story we are currently reading or the chapter we are on in Social Studies and Grammar. All old information should be discarded to help with organization.
Tuesday- Day 5 (My homeroom has Library)
Reading-#5 Please study vocab on Family Times newsletter. You can also study box 1 and 2 on Tri-Fold
Grammar-A study sheet was sent home today on Complex sentences. Quiz on Thursday
Social Studies- Study worksheet on State Symbols. There will be a quiz on these symbols next week.
Continue to work on State project. It is due on Oct. 15. Pick any state to research. Each student has a packet explaining how to do this project This packet should be in your child's social studies folder.
Spelling- Study list for test on Thursday
Wednesday-Day 1 (My homeroom has Gym)
Reading-#6 Study vocab and trifold for the "Horned Toad Prince." A comprehension worsheet was sent home today. It is located in your child's red Reading folder. The website this worksheet can be found in case it was forgotten in school is: http://www.k12reader.com. "Where on Earth Are You"
Grammar- There is a quiz on Complex Sentences tomorrow. Please study the highlighted workbook page from the Grammar Workbook that is located in your child's Reading or Grammar folder. There is also info on the family times newsletter that can be reviewed
Social Studies- Review state symblols worksheet in Social Studies folder
Spelling- study list in Spelling folder for test tomorrow

Thursday- Day 2 (My homeroom has Music)
Reading- #7 Study the Scavenger hunt worksheet that we completed today in class. The test on the "Horned Toad Prince" will be on Wednesday, next week.
Grammar- none we took a quiz today
Social Studies- Study state symbols to prepare for quiz next week
Spelling- none we took a test today
Friday- Day 3 (My homeroom has Computers)
Social Studies- Work on state project. Project is due on Tuesday, the 15th
